Its internal resistance limits the maximum current any battery can produce. Carbon-zinc batteries have a relatively high resistance and produce small currents, on the order of a few hundred milliamperes. Lead-acid, nickel-cadmium, and nickel-hydride batteries have very low internal resistances and can produce prodigious currents.
If you short-circuit the terminals of one of these laptop battery, whatever produces the short circuit--wires, a strip of metal, a coin in your pocket--becomes hot because of resistive heating. For example, you can melt a wrench by placing it across the terminals of a fully charged automotive battery. Or you can start a fire with something inadvertently shorting the terminals of the spare nickel-cadmium battery for your notebook or subnotebook computer. Be careful and never allow anything to touch these battery terminals except the contacts of your notebook PC.
Almost all secondary hp laptop battery is prone to hydrogen generation when they are overcharged because of electrolysis. The sealed cells used in modern computer and cell phone equipment minimizes the danger of this gas igniting and exploding, but the hazard hasn't been entirely eliminated. All sealed cells have safety vents that relieve any excess pressure that builds up inside the cells because of electrolysis. There is a small chance of out-gassed hydrogen igniting, but it is unlikely to make the cell explode.
A greater danger is blocking the sony laptop battery vents, which will prevent the relief of excess internal pressure. This may lead to the cell exploding even without the gas igniting. The vents in secondary cells should never be blocked.
Primary fujitsu laptop battery is usually sealed and not vented. Raising their temperature too high can cause the materials inside to degrade and even boil. Sufficient pressure can build up inside to make the cell explode. Trying to charge a primary cell can thus lead to explosion as can trying to burn batteries in an incinerator or open fire.
Nearly all toshiba pa3383u-1brs contain harmful chemicals of some kind. Lead and cadmium are toxic metals. Lithium is extremely reactive. In fact, pure Lithium metal reacts violently with airborne oxygen and may catch fire spontaneously. It may even react violently with water, even the water meant to put out the fire. Although mercury has been eliminated from most batteries, even carbon-zinc batteries contain manganese, which is regarded as hazardous.
All batteries present some kind of environmental hazard, so be sure to properly dispose of them. Some manufacturers are beginning to provide a means of recycling batteries. Encourage them by taking advantage of their offers.dell u4873 ,dell gd761 ,dell d5318,dell 75uyf,inspiron e1505,inspiron 6000,dell 367759-001,dell 6y270 ,dell c1295 ,hp 367759-001,apple a1079 , apple a1078 .
